As Rachel Zoe once said, “I love myself a sequin.” Personally, I couldn’t agree more. I thought I’d seen it all, since over the past few years sequins have started covering everything-from dresses, to skirts, to shoes, leggings, and bags. But I turned my head when I saw sequined shorts featured in last month’s Lucky Mag.
I dug a little deeper to see what other kind of sequined shorts were out there, and am still a little undecided on the matter. While they could be fun for a night out with a simple black tee or tank, if you’re not careful with the pairings it could be pretty dreadful. While I can’t imagine these would be a staple in anyone’s closet, they could be fun to whip out once in awhile for a fun night out. With that said, I imagine you’d have to be quite committed to the idea of sequin shorts to drop the dough required for these…for over… $1300! You read that right. $1349.25. You’ll be happy to know that that is the sale price, as these shorts originally were priced at $3,855! That is sequ-in-sanity!
sequin insanity
that flower has staying power
After a few super stressful days, there’s nothing sweeter than to get a phone call saying, “Flower delivery for you!” Lucky stressed out me, that’s exactly what I heard last week (thanks boyfriend!!) While I love how a fresh bouquet of flowers lightens up my place for a few days, they can quickly start dying off, and what’s left is no longer so pretty looking. Fortunately though, I’ve noticed that it’s usually just a few flowers that start dying after a few days, while others keep on living as if they were picked yesterday! So instead of tossing the whole bunch, I did a little snip snip to keep the good looking flowers and toss the browned ones. So after a few days of enjoying this…

I am now getting to enjoy this…

It’s the bouquet that keeps on giving! Happpppppppppppy Fridaaayyyy!!
big and chunky…
…and under twenty. It’s just how I like my necklaces! Some totally obsession worthy ones I’ve seen lately…
Ok so one of them was just over $20, but with these super small prices, how can I resist? While I usually could argue that purses, jeans, and shoes are worth splurging on, with necklaces, it’s so hard to tell the difference between one that costs a few bucks and one that breaks the bank. Oooohlalooove that.
