spring ahead

Happy first day of spring! The scene outside says spring but it’s actually quite chilly. I hate this transitional time where your heavy cold weather coats and tights feel too wintery, but you can’t quite leave the house without a jacket. I want all snow or all sun – enough of the in between! I dug up this gem at Hill Vintage, a darling store full of treasures in my neighborhood. Everyone should have a basic leather jacket and a simple trench coat in their closets, but I love when basics are done in unexpected ways like this leather trench that combined the two.

I have a leather trench in a beige color. It’s gorgeous and I hardly ever wear. It’s by June. It always seems to much.
