westward bound

{only taking one pair of heels}

As I finished packing for California last night I realized how differently I pack for California versus New York. My New York bags are always packed with lots of heels and jewelry, dressy attire for day and night, and purses packed strategically to the brim with all sorts of ‘necessities.’ My California bag is much lighter – it’s all in a carry on!, and packed with my Converse, tees, casual dresses, and lightweight sweaters for night. On Monday I’ll be attending the Lucky Fashion and Beauty Bloggers conference (FABB!), and have partnered with Samsung to provide all sorts of fun real-time updates throughout the day. Have a great weekend!

collar fancy

Part of my daily uniform in high school involved wearing a collared shirt most days. Because I had to wear one, I wasn’t a fan, but if I could have had a sparkly collar – things would have been different. Necklaces have the most impact on an outfit and in my opinion, are the most low maintenance jewelry to wear – no worries about earrings that are too heavy or bracelets that clack on your desk while typing. I love my oversized necklaces just as much as my smaller dainty ones, but I have a new love for these great collar pieces. What could dress up a simple white or black tee more than one of these lovelies?

1. topshop mesh bib
2. asos triangle collar
3. crystal peter pan collar
4. asos mesh gold tipped collar
5. pearl collar
6. topshop gemstone peter pan necklace
7. hematite crystal plated collar
8. jet glass collar necklace

weekend highlights

{new stella and dot snake wrap bracelet}

I am praying this week goes fast as I’m excited to be heading to California on Friday – I’ll be visiting a friend and attending my 2nd Lucky Fashion and Beauty Bloggers (FABB) conference. {Check out the incredible lineup of speakers here, and my New York Lucky FABB experience here}.
Weekend highlights included wearing my new Stella + Dot snake wrap bracelet, finding a new use for an old magazine rack, and putting some outfits together for my California getaway.
