2012

12-13

2012 has sure been a big one. I packed a lot in to it’s 366 days – I traveled, met my style icon, moved into a new apartment, designed shoes, fell in love with my neighborhood, cut my hair, jumped in a freezing cold stream in Rocky Mountain park, nailed a hand stand in Runyon Canyon, watched President Obama give a speech on my block {the night before the election!}, went blonder…and back a bit, milked a cow at the state fair, laced up my sneakers for solo runs on both coasts, attended my 10 year high school reunion, rode my bike more than I’ve biked in the last 10 years, snapped countless pics documenting it all, and more.

Thank you for following along, and cheers to an even bigger, brighter, and sparklier 2013!

As a big fan and daily wearer of some sort of jewelry, I was excited to have the chance to team up with Bevel, a new website that gives independent jewelry designers the chance to sell exclusive creations through virtual trunk shows. They’ve been running a ’12 days of Christmas’ feature, and this Wren & Glory silk wrap bracelet is showcased as the final piece for sale. There’s limited quantities of each piece, so it’s fun to know you’re getting a piece of jewelry that few others will have.

Wren & Glory is run by two Brooklyn-based sisters, who started their own accessories line after having trouble finding exactly what they were looking for. They use hand-washed silks and various metals to create each piece by hand, and have now grown to have their own showroom in Manhattan. You can find Wren & Glory pieces for sale now on Bevel.

Sign up to get access to Bevel’s online trunk shows with the access code NYC150. Leave a comment below to note that you signed up and you’ll be entered to win this Wren & Glory silk wrap bracelet. Contest runs for one week through Sunday 12/30.

ice ice baby

snow4{gifted Ice watch, sweater: old navy (old, similar), Deborah Lippman ‘Lady is a Tramp’ and ‘Boom Boom Pow’ glitter polish}

It’s been a winter white week in every way, from last weekend’s White Christmas party {where I wore a white sequin dress}, to my new white Ice watch I’ve been wearing nonstop this week, to the white out we’re having right now {it’s an official snow day here! no work! no school! even Starbucks is closed!} When it comes to holiday attire, why don a tacky sweater when you can wear winter white and sequins every day?
