My suitcase is (over)packed, I have a fresh mani and pedi, and I’ve loaded up with 5(!) books to leisurely read, as I’m heading to Hilton Head Island this weekend for my cousin’s wedding. Sunday is the big day, even more special as it’s my mom and her (twin) sisters birthday as well. Looking forward to celebrating and soaking up the sun all weekend long. Have a Happy Memorial Day weekend!

foot candy

Shoes, sweet shoes. I’ve come across so many incredible shoes online lately, and thanks to my Pinterest I can’t stop thinking about them. I didn’t realize how much I needed leopard print espadrilles, color blocked pink and orange heels, and straw colored platforms until I came across these lovelies. My polished toes would be happy to spend a warm summer night out in any of these.

recent finds

After recently cleaning out my closet, I was able to really evaluate what I had and what was missing from my wardrobe. One element I was most noticeably missing was a variety of belts. Although something as small as a belt could seem insignificant, they really truly change the entire look of an outfit, or can pull one entirely together. While I often see belts I like while shopping, at the time I can never think of what I’d wear them with. But then when trying things on from my closet, I constantly think it could be that much better with a belt. So while in Chicago last week I made sure to load up on some skinny belts, my favorites being a bright yellow and bright navy from H&M. I also needed a new pair of summer sandals, and found this darling bow pair at Forever 21. Finally, in anticipation of summer I decided these high-waisted printed shorts from MintLA boutique were the perfect first pair of the season.
