When I first saw this recipe for one ingredient banana ice cream, it seemed almost like a joke. How could one simple ingredient turn into something so vastly different after being frozen and run through a food processor? Turns out, it most definitely can. Simply chop and freeze a few bananas, run through a food processor, and watch over the course of several minutes how the fruit turns from chopped up bits into the smoothest, most creamy banana ice cream you’ve ever had. You don’t need to add a single thing to it, but if you have a sweet tooth like me you can treat it like regular ice cream and top it with chocolate syrup or (and!) sprinkles, or use as the base for a milkshake (like my favorite, the toasted marshmallow shake). This even got a happy approval from the boyfriend, who is a bit of an ice cream expert.
