While this originally was intended to be a recap of last night’s most stunning red carpet looks, there are countless other websites you can see just that. Instead, here were my personal favorite moments of the night. Gwyneth in Calvin Klein Collection, Anne Hathaway in vintage Valentino…on the arm of Valentino himself, and Amy Adams sparkling in L’Wren Scott (although the stunning Cartier necklace competed a bit too much with the dress). The night was mostly sweet except for a few confused red carpet looks (I’ll leave the scolding up to E!) To me, these ladies were completely Oscar-appropriate. Shimmer, shine, sparkle…more than any other award show, the Oscars it the time to do it up and go all out with the glamour. Personally, I thought the best fashion moments happened not on the red carpet, but on the stage, where Anne shut-it-down (as her stylist Rachel Zoe would say) in some of the best ensembles of the night-my favorites being the custom made glittering Brian Atwoods and a fresh off the runway Oscar de la Renta fringe dress.
